Your Valid Passport
You must send your valid and signed passport with at least 6 months remaining validity from your planned date of entry and at least one blank visa page.


Complete Visa Application Form (A1)
The visa Application Form (A1) must be completed fully and signed.

One Passport Photo
You must provide one passport photograph that meets the Passport Photo Regulations.

Your Travel Itinerary
You must provide a copy of your round trip plane ticket, or a travel itinerary generated by a travel agency showing your name and date of travel into and out of Afghanistan.

Company Letter

A typed letter with your company letterhead, signed by a company officer other than the visa applicant, and addressed to:

Embassy of Afghanistan
Visa Section
Washington DC

The letter should contain the following:

  • Nature of business to be conducted
  • Name and address business contact in Afghanistan
  • Guarantee of financial responsibility and of return transportation for the visa applicant
